What is included in the price of the room hire?
Each room has a drum kit with a snare drum and all hardware (cymbals available if needed for an additional charge at booking), Bass Amp (combo or head/cab) and 2x guitar amps & cabs.

There are three SM58’s set up as standard but just ask if you need more, and of course, a loud stereo PA System. All of that runs through our Allen & Heath ZED14 mixers with built in effects unit, with aux lead too.

Don’t worry if you forget your jack lead or plectrum: we can sort you out with those too. You can also have as much tea and coffee as you like!

Can we hire equipment for our rehearsal?
Yes – if you’re looking to hire extras that are not included in your room hire rate (Electric Piano / Guitars / Wireless equipment, etc) these can be hired for an agreed amount. To ensure we have the item prepared and ready we ask that at least 48 hours notice is given.

How many rehearsal rooms do you have?
In total we have 4 rehearsal rooms. 3x large band rooms and 1x solo practice room, this is currently used as a drum room but can accommodate most solo instrument practice however it does not have a PA system.

Do prices change depending on the room?
Yes, weekdays before 6pm and weekends are £10 per hour across all rooms. We have our largest band room priced at £40.50 for a 3 hour session, and our smallest band room at £30 for 3 hours.

We have no fixed times you must keep to, making Blue Line Studios much more flexible than other studios, our min booking is 2 hours but we have no max.

Do you have different rates for individual practice sessions?
Yes, we have a solo practice room, mainly for drummers, which is priced at £7.50ph, there is a minimum booking time of 2 hours for this room. Block Bookings are also available.

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and card / PayPal / BACS, we can also send you an invoice in advance if you need.

How early can we turn up for our booking?
If your booking is the first of the day there is a chance we may not have opened up yet, but always call us (07795664456) if you have arrived and cannot seem to access the main doors.

What is your cancellation policy?
More than 48 hours notice – No fee; Less than 48 hours/non attendance – 100% of booking fee. This is standard across all rehearsal rooms and sadly there is no exception, no matter how extraordinary the circumstances.

Are there refreshments available?
Yes – we provide free tea and coffee and a water cooler on site.

Do you still do recording?
Yes we do – although currently we are focusing more on the rehearsal side of the studios we still very much want to get involved with your recording project, just email us at recording@bluelinestudios,co,uk to get a quote.

Is it easy to park?
We have limited off road parking available up the hill behind St Michael’s Church but also nearby streets are free after 6pm, we also have disabled/level access to all rooms if needed. Please make this known in advance if needed.

Is it true you put on gigs?
In the past we have hosted our own acoustic nights which have been great fun, however most the gigs put on at Blue Line are promoted by a few well respected local promoters, keep an eye out for the next one.

Is Blue Line Studios more expensive than other places nearby?
We do our best to keep our prices as low as possible and make sure that you are getting a fair price for the room, equipment and length of time you book. We are proud to offer flexibility in booking times & lengths, to work around different bands needs and schedules.

Our building, including the reception/lounge area, studios and the equipment in them are well maintained, clean and tidy and ready to go when you arrive and instead of charging extra for more microphones, drum breakables and backline, it’s all included in the price of your booking.
